On this page you will find home learning information for your child. It will include maths and English activities for each day of the week.
Please make every effort to encourage your child complete the activities below. As yet we have no idea how long we will be closed and we need to ensure that our children stay in the routine of learning each day. Your support as always, is very much appreciated.
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org , I will be available to contact between 9am-3pm every weekday. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any questions or queries you may have.
Also, feel free to email me pictures of any work or other activities your child has completed at home - or just a picture to say hello. Lets stay connected!
Please take care,
Oliver Jeffers- the author of Lost and Found and The Day the Crayons Quit, is reading a story at 6pm each evening on Instagram.
Highlights from week 2. Keep sending your pictures!
Please encourage your child to read each day. This could be a book they read to you or a book you share together.
You will find the English task below. I will add to this each day.
I would like each child to use their exercise book to keep a diary. I would like them to record what they enjoyed most about their day, no matter how big or small.
White rose hub have created at home learning videos, work and mark schemes that can be accessed via their website.
There are daily lessons on here for Y1&Y2.
We follow this scheme within school so children should be familiar with the vocabulary and layout used.
I recommend that the children also do frequent arithmetic work- to help them stay fluent with their maths. I will upload some arithmetic questions daily, that should take around 10-20 minutes.
The document below contains a number of links to maths websites.
